Reichstag
Brandenburg Gate
The German History Museum. It had a little of everything about German history.
This is the Pergamonmuseum it was Ethan and Addy's favorite museum. It had many very cool things that dated back to 580 BC. We learned from the other museums and got are kids headsets so they could listen as they walked around.
We went to the Check Point Charlie museum. The museum was full of stories of people who escaped over the wall and people who died trying. It was amazing to hear about the many creative and crazy ways that people tried to escape.
The famous site Check Point Charlie.
We went to the Jewish Museum. I really liked the design of the building. It's sharp lines represented the star of David. I thought it was a nice memorial for the Jewish people.
When you walk outside to these pillars the ground is slanted. With the ground slanted and the pillars in rows it was supose to make you feel very disorantaed and lost. Like the Jewish people felt when the war was over and they were set free.
Outside the Jewish Museum
Ethan and Addy on the Subway.
A very tired and grumpy Izzy.
Outside the hotel.
The way we wanted to go home was only a one hour and 45 minute ferry ride. That ferry was all sold out for the entire day. So we hopped on the only other ferry that was leaving that day. It took six hours, it was very long with four kids. It had a lot of stairs and Alayna kept heading straight for them. We tried to make a baricade but it would only work for a little while.
